  • Georgia PSC, Docket No. 44280, Order Approving Revisions to Georgia Power Company's Rules and Regulations (filed 01/28/2025) order two-reviewer

“On December 11, 2024, Georgia Power Company (“* Company” or “Georgia Power”) filed a request for approval of revisions to the Company’s Rules and Regulations pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 46-2-25(a) in Docket Number 44280. The Company cited its unprecedented anticipated load growth and the need to protect customers in the event large projects do not materialize as the rationale behind this request. The rule changes apply to new customers with 100 megawatt (“MW”) or more of load connecting to Georgia Power’s system, requiring additional terms and conditions for those customers in order to allow the Company to appropriately assign costs to the customer. The proposed revisions allow for minimum billing requirements and longer contract term lengths for the new customers over 100 MW of load.”

Document is a scanned/image-only PDF (no text layer); this collector rendered each page at 300 DPI with PyMuPDF and OCR'd with pytesseract 5.3.4 (installed this tick), not via any AI summarization tool. The stray asterisk in “(“* Company”...)” is reproduced verbatim as an apparent OCR artifact, not corrected. PSC document ID 221165 (parent docket 44280, confirmed via the document's own Docket-detail page at https://psc.ga.gov/search/facts-document/?documentId=221165). VERIFIER RE-OCR (2026-08-20): independently re-rendered and re-OCR'd by the gate verifier; the page-1 text matches character-for-character, including the stray-asterisk artifact in “(“* Company” ...)”. Artifact preservation confirmed correct.

  • Georgia PSC, Docket No. 44280, Order Approving Revisions to Georgia Power Company's Rules and Regulations (filed 01/28/2025) order two-reviewer

“At its January 23, 2025 Administrative Session, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Staffs recommendation. KKK WHEREFORE IT IS ORDERED, that the Commission hereby approves the revisions to the Company’s rules and regulations as requested by Georgia Power Company in its December 11, 2024 filing, as modified by Staff pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 46-2-25(a). ORDERED FURTHER, the Company shall exercise the discretion under the Rules and Regulations changes in a manner designed to protect existing customers from bearing any of the costs of adding these large customers.”

OCR'd as above. VERIFIER RE-OCR (2026-08-20): this collector's page-2 OCR was independently reproduced by the gate verifier (PyMuPDF 300 DPI render -> pytesseract) and matches character-for-character, including the artifact 'Staffs' (for "Staff's"). CORRECTED BY THE GATE: the collector had substituted '***' for the token tesseract actually produces here, 'KKK'. The underlying document shows a centered row of asterisks as a section break; tesseract renders that row as 'KKK'. The raw OCR token is now reproduced verbatim so that a second OCR pass re-verifies this row exactly, per the standing rule that OCR artifacts are flagged in notes and never silently cleaned.
